Mary C. Castaneda
I’m a Visual Artist, with over ten years of design and creative experience. I’ve been drawing ever since I can remember, and always dreamed about making a career out of it.
I've been drawing ever since I can remember. My career began studying Graphic Design in Tijuana (Mexico), and later I attended Academy of Art University (San Francisco, USA) to earn a 2nd BFA in Animation and Visual Effects, which opened my eyes to the importance of having strong foundations while keeping your projects and story simple.
My design and art foundations are my basics in understanding the importance of brand identities and promotional assets, which has helped me collaborate with creative teams in their own language, from file specs to compression or other troubleshooting.
In my most recent roles at Martie, Parade, Ariela & Associates, I learned to own and coordinate retention and how to apply my background to scale. I produced and launched many email/SMS campaigns through Klaviyo, coordinated assets for Meta/TikTok, curated collection, landing and PDP pages, tagged products through Shopify, and reported on results such as ROAS, CTR and our weekly winning brands and collection moments.
I have lived in San Francisco and Italy, and continue to inspire my work by traveling to different regions of Mexico, France, Belgium, Netherlands, United States, Canada, South Korea and Japan. During my free time, I enjoy hiking and taking pictures.
Always willing and able to learn and help create the best stories and moments that will capture the consumer's eyes. I am also open to freelance illustration work.
